Uh no I don't need to spend more time in the great white north. lol It's another storm today and last night poured rain for hours. Lots of white stuff up on the mountains. All the peaks round here are covering in snow and have been for long time.

I see it but I don't have to touch it. Golf in the morning, skiing in the afternoon.

You should spend more time down south Melvin.

The lower end of the Rockies, the Santa Catalinas is but one of a group of mountain ranges (Sky Islands we call them) closest to Mehico that hit in the 9,000 to 10,000 ft range in elevation.

It seems quite normal for me to see that snow up there and me be down here where it's warm.

In the bottom picture I live near the center about a mile from the bottom of the ranges. I can be up there in the snow in twenty minutes or less.

Once every few years or so we get a dusting of snow all the way to the valley below. But it melts by the next day.
