See the mismatch? I found out today that the industry standard is 1/8" mismatch before it is considered a defect. I ended up hand matching the whole job to make it look decent.
I think I got one for Pergo about the fillets pattern being out of register but like I said, they all have their own. I'll have to pop in the cd tomorrow.
This was on a 1400' job and I only noticed the pattern being off after 1000' was down. Stopped and took samples to ProSource and without even looking they knew what my question was going to be.
I then contacted WA myself and was told that they intend it to be that way and I think the responder said it was more like a 1/4" allowance. Going by memory as this was appx. 5 years ago. The homeowner purchased the flooring through me at ProSource.... to this day they have not noticed anything being off and I never, ever showed them.
As odd as it may sound, I didn't notice it either for the longest time. After learning this I walked the first 1000' installed to see for myself. It took me along time to finally spot one from a standing position, and then I quickly saw many more off the same way. It's all an optical illusion once it's down.
