Let's talk flooring!

Wondering if anyone else has used the Tuscan leveling system for large format tiles? I just finished a job with 24x24 honed limestone and bought this system. I installed it over a mortar bed and was skeptical at the cost. But having done some work with it now, I am sold on the system. Just have to bite the bullet and buy the caps and the installation gun. And be sure to buy the more expensive gun. Worth the money.

Hi Thomas, I have read about that system since inception and have been relectant to buy into it. Last time I did a 20 x 20 a few weeks ago I was like...damn I wish I had that Tuscan sytem ot at leat the other one thats cheaper. Even though I used a 1/2 inch trowel I still had to lift half the tiles to get it reasonably flat./ I trowel the floor and back butter.
I did it that way for over 20 yrs. I wish I had been the guy to invent this.
Which other system is the cheaper one? Guess I haven't seen it. Got enough work in your part of the country?
Thomas, last time I checked the QEP Lash system was cheaper.

Work is definetly picking up.
Harbor Freight has the good zip tie gun for $8
So Thomas how much more must you charge to make that system profitable for ya?
The initial charge is a buck a foot. once you have your caps and gun paid for, the straps are about 30cents a foot. I figure with the results I get, I will just add about 50 cents to a 1.00 a foot. These are faster to use than the lash system. The consistency of the pressure from the gun makes the process very easy once you get the hang of it. I am going to use it on the job I started today. I will post a video of the system.
Video would be cool Thomas! Upon taking a closer look at the lash system, it seems you can't really ajust the level of the corners, it's kinda like there just to keep the corners from sinking. Is that your take as well?
