Let's talk flooring!

What exactly are they trying to say? I don't know but they got my vote!

I think it means this product is good for arid zones.

Well Dale, yes on that, But my main purpose for posting this was not her. But the message Max Windsor is sending.

You see out here distributors are hesitant to sell just any kinda wood flooring due to the "Arid Zone Complex Hex" I like to call it. There's a lot of jib jabbering going on about wood in arid zones. So it looks like they are willing to take on that challange.

You see, there's this train of thought that wood floors just do not belong out here in the west. But...wood floors have been here for hundreds of years. The inspection community along with "some" wood manufactures are denying claims or checking, splitting of hardwood and most significiently delamination of engineered hardwood. Even though part of this is true, the delaim part should just not happen if the wood is properly accliamated and of quality construction.

Why even the Lord Of Wood, Mickey Moore has said so. But manufactures are still trying to get away with denying claims against their cheap construction when a delam happens.

Why?

Because it is made in China mostly and not constructed to HVPA standards.

So the fight goes on. And I'm glad Max has taken this giant step forward. I am presently advising a consumer on a claim riight now where the nation wide chain never even sent them any literature on proper accliamation or maintenance rh wise.

Stephen,
you telling me you don't buy the mills and distributors' lines about Rh/t?

Yes and no.

It is a consequence of low rh, cept for the delam. Sure rotary is checked already but you can;t see it when it is at a good rh level.

But I inform all my clients about humidification anyway'

How about a sawn faced engineered? I gots some out in the garage being tested right now.
