Trade tariffs to even the playing field and you just may see things being made here once again.

i don't mind paying a little extra for american products, but many have priced themselves out of the market by paying union wages. unions were good in the 20's when they were really needed, now they're yokes. few dollars here and there add up to millions for ppl who produce nothing but legislation.
free markets drive the economy, produce the best goods at the lowest price. if they can produce them anywhere else and pay the shipping and import duties cheaper than they can make them in USA they will. can't hardly blame them, it's called business. our own regulations have driven us out.

Well.....I hate to say it but 35 even 70 bucks an hour is what you need to make to raise a family of four and be middle class these days. That 17 bucks an hour the car foreign car manufactures is not gonna send your kids to college and afford a two new/er cars. The cost of living is going up to fast, thats the problem.

Look at what wood guys get on a per hour basis. It ain't ten bucks an hour.

Now who's going to buy all these expensive tools and cars if everyone is making ten or 12 bucks an hour?

Toyota pays on average around $30 per hour after bonuses. Actaully more then UAW members get at around $27.

Feebs read the whole article. Toyota won't give out info as a whole. Just touting one manufacturing plant? Hmmm what are they hiding?

Americans better learn to try and buy American products or soon even out tanks and military industrial machine will be made in Tiawan.

The profit for foreign manufacturing here in the US is hugely out of proportion as compared to the wages dealt out by companies like Toyota
