Let's talk flooring!

Dog blew out her acl  6 months ago, surgery $4000.00 after 5 months of rehab the other one went Cha-ching, another $4000.00 so now she is habbing the second one and she has sliped a few times on my floors. So to protect my wifes investment:( I would like to hear any feed back on this stuff and see if it's worth the time...

I don't think that the anti-slip was designed with Dogs in mind especially with their nails, there isn't the same friction or resistance. If I were you figure out where she walks mostly and where she has slipped then place a few runners and/ or area rugs in those areas......

Dale, I agree it wasn't developed for dogs but my dog is treated better than me around, her nails are done once a week . It really is the pads of her feet that do the slipping. Runners would work but me don't like, especially the areas where she has slipped. like making a turn through an arch into another room.

Btw: If you were me you wouldn't be so ugly. hahaha!!

You spend $8000 Ducat$ on the dog and are worried about runners and/or area rugs?

Btw: If I were you I wouldn't be so pretty ;)
Your wife's investment? sure it was you old softie LOL
50 bucks put the dog down and the floors live happily ever after. Or you could carpet your house for a dog thats days are numbered. your choice. Is it obvious im not a dog owner?? Seriously though dont some of the gym floor coatings have a tacking agent in them? maybe a choice. Dale chime in this is your area!!

Sorry Dan but I as well mentioned the Euthanasia route to our friend in the keystone state, but he baulked and said that I'd have done the same thing. Now at any rate Heir Groover is doing his part to help the economy, he's pumped $8000 Ducat$ into a { assumption here =D } somewhat well off veterinarian's Bank account so he can pay his suppliers, help and spend his share back into the economy and then G will write it off on his taxes....So all is good, plus he has a friend to hot coat with ;) lol

As for gym finishes, most usually are softer to allow for the traction that is required for that surface. As I said to G on V.00001 these finishes I don't believe were designed for a Dogs traction. Besides his dog is injured or rehabbing an injury which could be causing the dog to be over compensating for it by extending the nails to gain traction due to uncertainty caused by the injury, plus there is fur that grows between the dogs pads.......

Quip challenged Dale =D

Well Dan carpets are out and If yer not a dog lover then thats cool...my wife works too so it's what she wanted so....and to boot my first dog had the same surgery 8yrs ago so add that to the doggie debt:)

Got some velcro strap sneakers and for now, it's working out till she is totaly rehabed.

And yes even the Vet has to make a Benz payment:) Someone has to keep the economy going since our pres can't:)
