Well its time to look for some help any advice or thoughts on how to weed out the undesireables hehe

well I would say you dont need to hire someone with expearance but some sort of construction exp wold deff be a benifit. I think half the battle is to get a guy that knows what it means to lace up the boots, pack a lunch and work with his hands. I hired a guy 2 months ago a buddys son's friend that had GC exp. he shows up on time every day and is learning at a decent clip. So far so good but the down side is we need to invest a lot of time training and hope that person stcks. So thats why I say get someone with some sort of labor exp..that is half the battle. Pay him well we do work pretty hard.
I'd look for someone who has experience with saws and still has all the digits.
It's so hard to find good work even amongst those that have worked in the flooring industry.  After years of crappy employees we finally gave up and since I haven't found work just freelance post graduation I get to help with poly and he does the sanding :/ earning my keep!
