Job gone bad

Broke a cardinal rule lastnight and tinted US because I didn't think my stain color was quite "orangy" enough for the Gunstock I was matching and was looking for a "quick" solution because of my time frame. Well I went in this morning to a mess due to the lack of care on my part to feather my application. A few heavy areas that really can't be scraped because of the tinted finish and the US bled back thru the board edges. The Homeowners come back tomorrow and it's to late to resand at this point so I called them this morning and told them the bad news. I told them that we would get the home back to useable for their return and would reschedule when convenient for them for us to resand this debacle. The funny thing is is that they were less upset by the situation than I was. So I will have to put aside time to fix something that was easy enough to avoid if I had used my Grey matter tween the ears and not been in a hurry, I guess the old adage that "Haste makes waste" hold true........

Bummed, but smarter for the experience.......I hope.
