I like how it doubles as a cat's paw, my nippers don't do that....
I have found the BEST nail pulled ever made, I just have to pay him 15 bucks an hour.
Buy your 15 buck guy one of these, I'll bet your cost is down to 5 bucks, when pullin ;-)
You tell'm Howard. Some of these old fogey's will never change anyway. :)
I never did reply to the 1st post, it slipped by somehow.

The Nail Hunter has several "Patent Pending" aspects in the design that are not available with a pair of "nippers", or any other single hand tool for that matter. Yea, I've been installing Hardwood "long enough" too ( 38 years). It's amaizing how far common sense goes. But your still limited to a large extent by the tools you use. Tools, and methods, in this business have come a long damn way over the years. The Nail Hunter happens to be a one of a kind tool,(not "reinvented"). All the time installers are presented with new tools and ways to make their lives easier. Hey I'm stubborn as hell in my old ways, but somewhere down the line I figured to keep an open mind, and not be an "old timer" dinosaur, and it's benefitted my installation carreer.
Hi Howard I just used yoour nail hunter today on some 30 board repairs...it worked okay. after a couple of boards I grabbed the snips and used them the rest of the day...this toll would be good for removing nails from base boards and underlayment staples. the toll is not very good at getting into tight places. Again this was my first use of the tool and will try it in other applications.....
Hey John, Thanks for the purchase and feedback!
I'm trying to picture how you used them on the board repairs, ( By the way that sounds like a drag, but we do what we gotta do). Still trying to totally picture it. Oh... Maybe your talking about pulling cleats or staples from the tongue crease? I can see where that would be a challenge to dig um out of that crease with the design. Well duh, it's gotta be that, the only other place is the subfloor, and I know they'll kick butt on that.. Hey it's not you, I talk to myself and answer my own questions all the time, lol.
