I have two work vans,I also use it with my personal car.
Ezpass called me to let me know they were sending me a reprogrammed transponder.
The gentlemen asked what my GVWR sticker said on my van pillar.
This new Ezpass was going to be set on my Gvwr, which is 9400 lbs.
This means that whenever I use my Ezpass I would be charged for a class 2
I tried to ex-plane to the person that my van is actually only 6400 lbs most of the time and I should not be charged class 2 all the time!
I also said if I paid cash instead of the Ezpass it would be cheaper, and this sounded like a cash raising gimmick.
He said have a nice day and hung up.

I called back and spoke to a young lady:
She told me if I used a non-reprogramed transponder on another state, and
it read class 2 when I went across the scales. I could have it taken
away.
What, transponder police?
I told her to just send me a car class 1 transponder for another car, and I would take my chances in the
van with the transponder police!
