Let's talk flooring!

One of the worst. The current 4-way stop count is 6, apparently these guys were bringing the wood in from the garage as they were installing it(which is when we first saw it). We are being subbed out by the painter just to sand the floor, she's going to do a tung oil finish on it. You name it, it's wrong- 1/8" gaps, the A/C still hasn't been turned on, terrible head joint spacing in addition to the 4-way stops, undercutting looks like it was done with a sawzall, thresholds and hearth are poorly done, among many other things.

The few times I`ve sanded IPE,I had trouble with the filler?Appears as if the color is taken right out of the filler?Last time I tinted Timbermate dark and it still happened.Any explanation what may cause this? I have a picture,Maybe you can see it?The install work is not mine...note how light the filler is between some of the cracks.
Also got some dust on the driveway and it stained it green.
The dust from sanding was very irritating, made my helper break out in a rash.

I mixed FT filler at 2walnut:1brazilian cherry(96oz), then added 3 teaspoons of TT dark vintage maple, and 4.5 teaspoons of TT dark walnut. I thought it looked pretty good, but I'll have to reserve final judgment until it's finished.
Well it looks as though Norwood was right. The painter did a horrible job and now they want us to fix it. They used bonerseal and Mega satin, supposedly 5 coats. Thick-to-lose baby ;)

It's nice for us though because the H/O wants the lowest gloss he can get. We suggested Naturale to the painter originally but she didn't like the idea of having to mix a finish, at least that's what I think. lol So now we're gonna go in there and slap a coat of Naturale on and look like badasses to these people. =D

Well a year later this guy called us back to look at the floor. It's got a few squeaks and of course the floor has shrunk a lot since it was installed. So with 6 or 7 coats of wb finish on a dark wood combined with pre-a/c installation = you guessed it- wls.
