You don't own a buffer? Ok..what's going on here?.. There was some prefin/pre wax floor installed and you re-waxed it? It doesn't look so bad... gasp.. did I just say that about a Bruce floor? Is that the famous Ernesto??
Ahhh Village plank...put many a feet of that stuff down in the early 80's
So does that make youse guys " Village people" ? LOL
Village People lol Yeah I guess.

The floor is pretty naturally distressed and as T pointed out is old, like 25 years old. But it does go with my Santa Fe style house pretty good. Probably got about 1800sf of it in the house, the other 600sf is tile.

I ain't about to replace it till these BIG DOGS and maybe the kids are outa here. I got two 120lb RidgeBacks that run through the house. This was glued down on top of sheet vinyl and quite a few parts are now floating. LOL

I'm not willing to spend butt loads of money to replace it right now. Will have to scarify the floor, trowel on vapor retarder yata yata and I want a nice mesquite which I can't afford.

And no I don't own a buffer either. Costs 30 bucks for a day and it would sit around most of the time anyway. I am an installer, not a finish guy. I would like to start finishing some day but 90% of the work out here is prefinished and even a higher percentage of houses have slabs.
BTW, don't rent buffers at HD, they don't appear to maintain them well. I went back to a rental place and got one there (Erv's) they maintain their equipment very well. Only problem is they only have fifteen inchers instead of the seventeen inchers at the depot.
You know, I re-read that Village People quote that I made and it almost sounded like it came from that fella in Arizona and I think that I'm going to puke now ;) LOL

The floors look pretty good for having 2 120 lb beasts tearin ass across them, held up well.............
I've refinished quite a bit of that stuff in my area so much so i ordered a bunch of those plugs to keep on hand for replacements he he sands real nice looks great too
Philly
Well heck maybe I should attemp to sand and finish it with Rubio. Ha Ha

Or ya think I could get away with hand scraping it?

It's those deep bevels that keep me from attempting it.
Is Rubio the new flavor of the month? LOL
Philly;

West of you 3, 5, & 7 x 5/16 W/ Walnut pegs was very popular for awhile, we keep a good supply on hand as well. I don't mind the sanding, it's scraping the V-Grooves out that I dislike......
you said it pita but has to be done
Well how far do you go when you scrape, the blasted V foes practially all the way to the core! Can I trowell fill'em? :)))
