do I need exspansion molding

Hi, guys wonder if someone can help me out. This is 1/2" engineered by 5" wide fooring. I'll be stapling this into 3/4" plywood. My question is and I've attached a photo. can I butt ends of planks to perpendicular flooring of the same type. This is a wallway going into a living room. The end butt boards will be running a total 22ft. The board they butt up to in the photo is the 4 foot wide wallway. Do I need exspansion molding?thanks danSee More

Don't kid yourself Cap't many U.S. manufactures will deny your claims as easily as foreign ones will. I would however stay away from the chinese sheetrock. ;)

thanks floorguy, Your reason for putting down felt makes sense even if it's not required as a vapor barrier for this type of flooring. I what to lessen the squeaks as much as possible. thanks for the adivse......

sorry melvin, no you haven't offended me, I understand totally. I can't afford to have someone to do it anyway, plus I enjoy doing it. Even if I could afford to have it done I wouldn't. Thanks Melvin sounds like I need felt too.
