Yes, I do have some experience with DURI's/Lundberg's stair renovation kits. My parents had a complete pine wood stair renovated 3 years ago with the oak kit that is sold by DURI/Lundberg. Still looks great! (but they are quite expensive - my opinion, I'm just about to buy for my own house)

I believe the life time warranty is only on the Alloc Original with the aluminum locking mechanism. I have grand pianos and SubZero refrigerators sitting on that stuff. It can take more weight than any other laminate sold in America last I checked.

Laminate is gaining popularity but so is wood, carpet is waining and amazingly resilient is coming back. Course I like cork the best, its taking off like gang busters over here.
