Let's talk flooring!

Internet videos are on the rise. Folks would rather watch than read. Call it web 2.0 that many of you may be hearing about. I've been playing around with creating one that deals with replacing a hardwood floor board. Quality photos is they key if you want to add some still shots, which I did in the YouTube video below. Still shots yes, quality...hardly. Pics were taken at the NWFA convention eariler this year. Lighting was poor and of course I had the wrong setting on the camera.

When they started the presentation and I saw that Festool circular saw and thought; great, people will not recognize what it is...and they pulled out a straight edge. How many actually use this setup to pull a board out? So pics were never added to my site. In my impatience to put something together I used them anyway in the first video produced by Hardwood Installer.com. I'll probably redo it sometime. It's just a matter of finding the right people that understand what these videos can do for their business.

The internet works guys.

Having completed one I know planning is the key. It was edited so many times that words became repititious. You'll notice it. Let me know what you guys think.

Replace a hardwood floor board

I'd really like to redo the section on repairing hardwood floors on my site. Stephen...have any of those jobs lined up?

Pretty sweet video Ken. I doubt I could edit one out like that. Looks like it can be tedious.

Well maybe on the job where the tile guys pan leaked. Have not yet heard back after I told them the cost. Maybe he had a heart attack.
