WE had a pretty flat surface. I did notice that every 3-4 rows or so if you really set it tight by using a block (beater board), It locked a little tighter and quieted the squeaks a little. But once the furnature goes on and the underlayment flattens out, it should be ok. Its like a new car. Once you get the car you notice every dent and scratch, give it a month or let your wife drive it and you wont notice anything.

Pappa, that a common compalint. Unless the substrate is perfectly flat...which we know is a fantasy....it does squeak.

On the second days it started squeaking but Mr. Connolly didn't hear it cus he is partially deaf from flying fighters all his life. And I went over tile too, even grinded off the high spots and made it to specs.

I just put it in over a slab. . It squeaks too much. Locks easy but I was just turned off by the squeaking while walking on it.
